Montreal's Pentaèdre Wind Quintet has evidently dipped into Mr. Dressup's tickle trunk for its latest video, featuring a performance of the Queen of the Night's aria "Der Hölle Rache" from Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte.
Produced by Shoot Studio, the fanciful video cuts among shots of the members of the quintet in four different outfits: casual, concert dress (shot in sepia), period costume and elaborate disguises for a masquerade ball.
Pentaèdre performs bassoonist Mathieu Lussier's arrangement of the famed aria. (In the video, he's one of two musicians disguised as a bird.)
