Fire broke out Friday night; no injuries reported
A Friday night fire hasn't caused any impact to operations at the Dryden mill, the company said.
In a post on social media, the Dryden Fire Service said it was called to the Dryden Fibre Canada mill at about 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The fire was contained to a piece of machinery in the mill, and was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported, and the scene was cleared about an hour later.
In a statement to CBC News on Monday, Dryden Fibre Canada said the fire did not cause any disruptions to the mill's operations.
"We did have a small file inside the mill on Friday night," the statement reads. "No one was hurt and there were no impacts to operations or equipment."
"We appreciated the timely response of both our on-site Emergency Response Team and the City of Dryden Fire Service."
