The wing of a crop-dusting plane clipped a tree, sending the&nbsp;small craft crashing to the ground in Manitoba's Interlake region on the weekend, RCMP say.

The 33-year-old pilot suffered&nbsp;minor injuries and was taken to hospital,&nbsp;police said in a news release on Tuesday. He was the only person in the aircraft.

The&nbsp;plane was spraying a field south of the intersection of Highway 68 and Highway 233&nbsp;— just west of Arborg&nbsp;— around&nbsp;1:10 p.m. when the crash happened.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified.

No further information has been provided by RCMP.
