Police ID man, 28, killed in Scarborough shooting

Shooting happened in area of Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road

A 28-year-old man has died after he was shot in Scarborough Saturday night, Toronto police say.
Duty Insp. Dan Pravica said at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers were called to a gas station in the area of Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road for reports of gunshots. Upon arriving, they located a man with gunshot wounds.
The suspects had fired several shots into the victim's car before fleeing the scene, police said in a news release Sunday.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, the news release said.
Police have identified the victim as Sulakshan Selvasingam of Pickering.
