Transgender flag creator calls for more visibility on the 25th anniversary of her iconic design

2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the blue, pink and white striped transgender flag created by Monica Helms. To mark the occasion, Helms, a transgender activist and U.S. Navy veteran, is embarking on a Canadian tour to help bring visibility to trans issues. CBC News caught up with her on a tour stop in Edmonton.
