Kings of Nowhere revolves around Bili, the sort of kid who just wants to tend to himself but manages to get into trouble more often than he would like. Being beaten and bullied have become part of his daily routine. However, one instance pushes Bili past his limits.

In a brutal assault, the intense stress causes Bili to shift into a chimpanzee. Like many chimeras, he was cast aside by society, but then came along Hamed, a fellow chimera who's been playing the game a little longer. He begins to show Bili the ropes and gives him a taste of revenge.
