Man charged with 1st-degree murder in connection with death of 23-year-old

A 33-year-old Toronto man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Daniella Mallia, 23.
Mallia died after being found shot in an underground garage in Toronto in August. She was the 42nd homicide victim in Toronto this year.
Police say they were called to 2265 Jane Street, north of Highway 401, around 1 p.m on Aug. 18.
The suspect will appear virtually in court on Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m at 1000 Finch Avenue West.
