It has been a very challenging year for Indigenous communities in B.C.. Learning more about unmarked graves on the grounds of former residential schools has hearts aching across the province, country and around the world.
And it's time we take a pause.
September 30 marks the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to recognize and reflect on the legacy of residential schools in Canada.
Commemorate the occasion with all-day special programming showcasing First Nations, Métis and Inuit perspectives and experiences on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One and cbc.ca/bc(external link).
