Province, police investigating death of Pine Grove Correctional Centre inmate

Woman transferred to Royal University Hospital on July 1
Saskatchewan's Ministry of Corrections and Policing is investigating the death of an inmate from Pine Grove Correctional Centre.
The woman was transferred from the Prince Albert jail to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on July 1. She died there at 8 p.m. CST.
Officials are saying little about the circumstances, other than it's not related to COVID-19.
Her next of kin has been notified.
Prince Albert police, the ministry and the coroner's office are all investigating.
