A new COVID-19 case is reported almost daily inside a seniors' facility in the London region. But which ones have been the hardest hit?
Twenty-three families have lost loved ones since the pandemic began. By Friday, 136 positive cases had been reported at multiple retirement or long term care homes.
Unlike other health units in Ontario, the Middlesex London Health Unit will not tell the public which homes the deceased or the sick were living in. It will not tell the public how many staff in each home have the virus. It does provide a general list of facilities where an outbreak has occurred.
CBC London contacted every home in London-Middlesex to better establish a picture of COVID-19 outbreaks in the community. This is what we learned to-date about specific cases and deaths, including staff infections inside local seniors' facilities.
