The Perth, Ont.based author has written over 35 books — including The Starlight Claim, The Ruinous Sweep and The Maestro —and is a two-time winner of the Governor General's Award, as well as a two-time winner of the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award and the Arthur Ellis Award.

Wynne-Jones has received the Edgar Award, the Vicky Metcalf Award and was made an Officer to the Order of Canada in 2012.
