This is the kind of story that made me an avid reader as a child. The writing is so beautiful that it connects directly to the brain and imagination; I was able to enter another world from the get go. I read a lot of nonfiction and loved learning about the shadowy post WWII London setting of Warlight as much as I enjoyed trying to unravel the mysterious plot and following the fascinating characters. It was one of those books I avoided finishing because I didn't want the spell to break."
