Michelle Winters is a author and painter from Saint John, N.B., currently based in Toronto. Her debut novel I Am a Truck was shortlisted for the 2017 Scotiabank Giller Prize. The book, set in rural Acadia, is about woman named Agathe who is set to celebrate her twentieth wedding anniversary when her husband's Chevy truck is found abandoned at the side of the road. Following her husband's mysterious disappearance Agathe, with the help of a coworker, must go on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
