Keith Barker is a Métis playwright, actor and director whose work has been showcased on theatre stages across the country. Originally from Northwestern Ontario, Barker has worked in the theatre industry for almost two decades and is currently the Artistic Director of Native Earth Performing Arts in Toronto.

His play This Is How We Got Here is as heartwarming as it is heartbreaking. After Lucille and Paul's son Craig's suicide shakes his close-knit family to it's core. In the months following Lucille's sister Liset and her husband Jim refuse to discuss their nephew's death as they struggle to make peace with it, grieve and forgive.
