Joshua Mensch is a Nova Scotia-raised poet, visual artist and editor. Mensch's poetry has appeared in several magazines, including Plume, Brick and The Collagist. He grew up in Nova Scotia and currently lives in Prague, Czech Republic. His first book Because is a harrowing lyric memoir about childhood sexual abuse. It is a finalist for the 2018 Governor General's Literary Award for poetry.
