Sarah Henstra

Sarah Henstra is a Canadian novelist and professor of English literature at Ryerson University. Originally from British Columbia, Henstra now lives in Toronto. Her books include Mad Miss Mimic, a historical YA novel published in 2015, and The Red Word, a novel about a college student torn between the politics of a radical feminist group and the notorious frat house her boyfriend belongs to. Her next book is a YA novel called We Contain Multitudes, due to be published in the spring of 2019.
The Red Word won the 2018 Governor General's Literary Award for fiction. She wrote an original short story called Perseus/Andromeda/Medusa for the special CBC Books series Borders.
