The 2019 CBC Short Story Prize is now closed

The 2019 CBC Short Story Prize is now closed. Finalists will be announced in the spring of 2019. The 2020 prize will open in September 2019.
The winner will receive $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts(external link), attend a two-week writing residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity(external link) and have their story published on CBC Books(external link). Four finalists will win $1,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts(external link) and have their story published on CBC Books(external link).
Last year's winner was Leah Mol for Lipstick Day. You can read all the 2018 finalists' stories here.
