Michael Christie is a novelist based on Galiano Island, B.C. He is the author of The Beggar's Garden, which won the Vancouver Book Award and was a finalist for the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize, and If I Fall, If I Die, which won the Northern Lit Award and was longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. Christie's writing has been featured in publications like The New York Times, Washington Post and Globe and Mail. He's a former professional skateboarder.
