The 2025 CBC Short Story Prize will be accepting submissions between Sept. 1 and Nov. 1 at 4:59 p.m. ET (1:59 p.m. PT).
You can submit your original, unpublished short fiction for a chance to win $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts(external link), a two-week writing residency at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity(external link) and have your story published on CBC Books(external link).
Four finalists will win $1,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts(external link) and have their story published on CBC Books(external link).
