Michael Crummey is a poet and novelist from Newfoundland and Labrador. Two of Crummey's novels have been shortlisted for the Governor General's Literary Award for fiction — Sweetland in 2014 and Galore in 2009. His latest is the poetry collection Little Dogs, which features a selection of new and previously published poetry. Crummey was the inaugural recipient of the Writers' Trust Fellowship, a $50,000 award given to a Canadian writer that demonstrates "exceptional creative ability and outstanding promise in their publications to date."
