Colin McAdam is a novelist and an educator. Born in Hong Kong, McAdam spent much of his childhood living in different places around the world. His writing has been published in Harpers and The Walrus, among others. He now teaches creative writing at Humber College, in Toronto.
McAdam debuted with the novel Some Great Thing in 2004. It was shortlisted for the Governor General's Literary Award for English-language fiction. This was followed by Fall in 2009, which a finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. A Beautiful Truth won the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize in 2013.
