Anne Michaels is a writer of fiction, poetry and nonfiction. Her extensive list of literary accomplishments includes the Orange Prize for Fiction, the Guardian Fiction Prize and the Commonwealth Poetry Prize for the Americas. The novel Fugitive Pieces, a gripping and emotional story of a seven-year-old boy in war-torn Poland, was published to international acclaim and received the Lannan Literary Fiction Award. Her book of poetry Correspondences was nominated for the Griffin Poetry Prize. Michaels' latest books include the poetry collection All We Saw and her first nonfiction book Infinite Gradation.
