Siobhan Jamison has made the 2017 CBC Poetry Prize longlist for Godot.
About Siobhan
Siobhan Jamison is writing a semi-autobiographical novel called Maternity and Other Corsets, about 10 years in Europe with a French alcoholic painter and the daughter she later raises on her own. Last spring, she received a certificate for creative writing from the University of Toronto. She teaches at Seneca College and lives in Toronto.

The poem's source of inspiration
"The charcoal sketch that hung in my childhood home and discussions had with it pertaining to the fragility of childhood and confusions between parental and sexual love."
