An 85-year-old cyclist has died after being hit by a car on Paris Street Monday night.
Greater Sudbury Police have charged a 25-year-old man, who originally fled the scene, with dangerous driving and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
Police said the cyclist was riding on Paris Street around 10:30 p.m., when he was hit near the Birchglen Apartments. He was taken to Health Sciences North, where he later died.
The driver returned to the scene of the collision a while later, police said.
The name of the cyclist is being withheld out of respect for the family.
