WorkSafeBC notified

WorkSafeBC says it was notified of the incident and that possibly two workers were injured. The agency has assigned an officer to follow up with FortisBC.
"It's important to remember that this incident was limited to the refrigerant portion of the plant and did not pose a danger to anyone outside the plant," said FortisBC in its release.
The company says it's conducting an investigation with the contractor to determine the cause of the ignition.
Existing operations at the original Tilbury plant, which has been in operation since 1971, were not impacted.
