Provincial police have identified the mother and son from Amherstburg killed in a six-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Chatham Sunday.
Lacie Brundritt, 42, and her son Kyle, 14, were in a pickup truck with two other people when a tractor trailer heading west collided with several vehicles that were stopped near Dillon Road around 4:40 p.m., according to Ontario Provincial Police.
The pair were pronounced dead at the crash site. The driver — a 39-year-old man — was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, while a 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
