Being a comic book artist seems like a pretty amazing job when you see artist Nick Bradshaw at work in his studio in Moncton. From his own fan fiction comic to illustrating covers for Deadpool, Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy, Bradshaw spends a lot of time drawing.

And unlike your favourite supervillains, he doesn't use his talents for evil — this artist is particularly interested in how his art can help his community. Through his involvement in a local not-for-profit comic book convention, Bradshaw tries to make comic books an entry point for kids to learn to read in his hometown province, where literacy rates have been low.

For Bradshaw, a comic book cover takes about 20 hours of labour. For this handy (get it?) how-to, he condensed the process down to under three minutes. We believe he may have magic powers.
