Vinay Virmani defended The Hero's Walk by Anita Rau Badami for Canada Reads 2016.
Vinay Virmani is the writer and star of the 2014 film Dr. Cabbie, which broke opening-day box office records in Canada. Virmani was born and raised in Toronto, where he still lives. He studied acting and filmmaking at Toronto's Second City Training Centre and New York's Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. In 2011, he wrote and starred in the hockey comedy Breakaway, which featured cameos from rappers Drake and Ludacris. He was most recently seen in Andrew Currie's The Steps, which premiered at TIFF in 2015.
