Carrie Fisher who played Princess Leia in Star Wars coming to expo in September
It doesn't get much more iconic than Star Wars, and that's why the Saskatoon Comic and Entertainment Expo is thrilled to announce a royal edition to its lineup.
Carrie Fisher, also known as Princess Leia from Star Wars, will be there.
"To have an iconic actress like Carrie Fisher coming in just year three is unprecedented. It's going to be a great year," said Saskatoon Expo vice-president and spokesperson Lindsay Thomas.
Fisher will attend a spotlight panel where she will talk about her career. Fans will also be able to pay extra to meet Fisher at a photo ops and autograph sessions.
"We're thrilled to see that Sask Expo has grown so quickly! That growth is due entirely to the fans," said Thomas.
"Saskatoon Expo attracted 13,000 attendees last year, and record-breaking ticket sales so far indicate Sask Expo will exceed that number this year. "
Expect another announcement on guests for this year's expo at the end of August.
The expo will be held on Sept. 17 and 18 at Prairieland Park.
