Veteran provincial politican John Holm announced Wednesday that he's quitting politics.
The NDP MLA has represented people in the Sackville area for the past 18 years.
He says he won't run in the next election, but he will campaign for the NDP when that vote is called.
Holm, 55, was first elected to the legislature in 1984 and he's the longest-serving MLA in his party's caucus.
He served briefly as interim leader when Alexa McDonough made the jump to federal politics.
