Calgary police say alcohol was likely involved in a C-Train crash that killed a pedestrian on Sunday night.
Police say three men walked across the tracks near 36 Street N.E. at around 7:30 p.m.
Two of them made it to the other side — but the southbound train struck the third pedestrian, killing the 49-year-old man.
One person on the train suffered minor injuries, but was not taken to hospital.
Police say the flashing lights and bells that signal an approaching C-Train appear to have been working at the time.
They don't expect to lay any charges against the driver.
