A portion of Highway 8 north of Winnipeg was closed on Friday after a collision involving a car and a semi-trailer.

The highway was closed 12 kilometres north of Highway 67, west of Clandeboye, Man., just after 12 p.m.

RCMP have not released many details but said there were serious non-life-threatening injuries.

A detour is in place and a traffic analyst is assisting the investigation.
