A Calgary BASE jumper's death has been ruled an accident after investigators say they found a hole in her pilot chute.
Local media reports(external link) 34-year-old Kristin Renee Czyz of Calgary packed her own parachute before she jumped from Perrine Bridge on May 13.
Investigators found a hole in her pilot chute, which is supposed to pull the main parachute from its pack.
They also found a broken zipper on her harness.
Boaters pulled her body from the Snake River, attempted CPR and met up with emergency responders.
Czyz was pronounced dead at the Centennial Waterfront Park docks.
Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lori Stewart said investigators determined the death was an accident.
