One person died, while another was taken to hospital in serious condition in a major multi-vehicle crash on Highway 3 Friday afternoon.
Seven vehicles, including a work truck and an RV camper, were involved in the incident. Three other people were taken to hospital with less serious injuries.
A man on a motorcycle died in the crash, according to an eye witness. Ed Towe, who was involved in the pile up, said the motorcycle hit a transport trailer.
"His bike is everywhere, it's all over the place," he said.
Towe tried to avoid colliding with a transport trailer. He veered his F150 pickup truck toward the shoulder of the road, but the transport "clipped" the edge of the trailer he was hauling.
Part of the highway near Kingsville was shut down from Inman Sideroad to County Road 18 late Friday afternoon.
It is not known when lanes will reopen, according to a tweet by OPP.
Essex MPP Taras Natyshak was quick to continue his call for improvements to the highway.
