Charges pending after 54-year-old woman found injured in home dies in hospital
Lethbridge police say they have a 28-year-old woman in custody following the death of a 54-year-old woman in what they describe as an "apparent homicide."
Responding to an assault call, officers found the older woman with life-threatening injuries inside her home in the 2300 block of 18 Street North at about 9:40 p.m. on Thursday.

She was rushed to Chinook Regional Hospital, but died shortly after arrival.
Police took a 28-year-old female suspect into custody at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday morning in Calgary to confirm the cause of death.
Police said charges are pending. The investigation continues.
