Troy Millington, a former Alberta Party leadership candidate, charged with child pornography offences

45-year-old Troy Conrad Millington charged with offences from incidents between September and February

A former candidate for the leadership of the Alberta Party leading into last year's provincial election is facing multiple charges related to child pornography, court documents reveal.

Troy Conrad Millington was arrested in February in Calgary and charged with accessing, possessing and distributing child pornography, among other charges, related to incidents that allegedly occurred between Sep. 21 last year and Feb. 16.
Millington was released after the arrest but is facing conditions including weekly probation reporting and remaining in the province.
He is prohibited from using electronic devices and computers to access the internet and can't have any contact or communication with children under the age of 16.
Millington is scheduled in court next on March 21.
