​​Mohammad is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at U of S. Although new to Canada, he had already contributed a great deal to the development of innovation in Saskatchewan and its people. His research resulted in several published journal papers, national and international conference presentations and a patent application as well as collaboration with industry and research institutes including one in Norway.
His research findings are focused on helping to reduce energy requirement for heating indoor buildings in cold regions like SK with positive environmental impact. Mohammad has received several prestigious awards such as U of S scholarship for PhD studies, the ASHRAE Grant-In-Aid Award and Toyota Automotive scholarship. Mohammad was also an elected executive in Graduate Students' Association representing almost three thousands of graduate students across campus. He has been a tireless advocate for graduate students on issues as diverse as research funding to student services to make their lives better.
