Call came in at 2:23 p.m., one man confirmed dead by EMS

One person is dead following a shooting in the alleyway of the 100 block of Del Ray Road in Monterey Park Sunday afternoon, Calgary police say.

EMS confirmed the deceased is a male.

Police say they responded to a call at about 2:30 p.m. in the northeast community.

Police are not treating the incident as a random act and say more details will be available following the autopsy, which is scheduled for Monday.
