Lawrence Toet, Conservative
Toet was born and raised in Winnipeg, where he still lives with his wife and four children.
The 53-year-old drives a Chevy and was a partner in a family print business before turning his attention to politics and getting elected to represent Elmwood-Transcona in 2011.
Toet likes a variety of music but locally, he favours Burton Cummings. Toet is also a fan of both the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Aside from regular trips to Ottawa and Parliament Hill, Toet's most recent trip outside of Manitoba was a family vacation to Ireland.
Daniel Blaikie, NDP
An electrician by trade, Blaikie has started to follow the footsteps of his father, NDP stalwart Bill Blaikie, into politics.
The 31-year-old, who lives in Winnipeg with his partner and their two-year-old son, drives a Dodge Caravan and listens to Winnipeg pop band Imaginary Cities and most songs by American rock band Heart.
Blaikie is more of a fan of curling than the Winnipeg Jets or the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, but he enjoys the fast-paced atmosphere at Jets games.
Blaikie last left Manitoba on union business in St John's.
Kim Parke, Green Party
Before running as a Green Party candidate, Parke was a retail manager at Loblaws for 18 years.
The 51-year-old, who was born in Winnipeg and has three kids, doesn't have a music device, but her favourite Manitoba performer is Sweet Alibi.
The last time she left Manitoba was on a road trip with her son to visit friends and family in White Rock, B.C.
Parke knows more about hockey than football, so she watches the Winnipeg Jets.
Andrea Richardson-Lipon, Liberal
Richardson-Lipon is a 36-year-old audiologist born in Brampton, Ont.
She now lives in Winnipeg with her partner and three-year-old daughter, Madeline.
Her favourite Manitoba performer is Fred Penner, but she's been enjoying Spirits by The Strumbellas more recently.
She likes the Winnipeg Jets and even has a family connection to the team. Her husband's cousin is prospect J.C. Lipon, a forward from Regina who was drafted by the Jets in 2013.
