Environment Canada has extended special air quality statements for many parts of central and southern Saskatchewan, as smoke from forest fires in Washington and B.C. drifts across Western Canada.
Although air quality has improved over southern parts of the province today, the agency said another area of smoke is expected to move across the province tonight and overnight into Monday.
Environment Canada said this new area of smoke will reduce air quality and affect visibility in some areas, although conditions will vary depending on wind and other weather factors.
Even healthy people may experience temporary irritation of eyes and throat and shortness of breath.
