Much like Baz Luhrmann's new film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, the latest article by New York Magazine book critic Kathryn Schulz is being met with both praise and scorn. In "Why I Despise The Great Gatsby," Schulz argues Fitzgerald's famous story isn't anything special--in fact, she finds it quite shallow. Is Gatsby, perhaps, not so great?
