Bitterly cold weather has settled into Manitoba. An extreme cold warning remains in effect for nearly the entire province.
The windchill will be between – 40 C and – 45 C today as an Arctic air mass grips the prairies.
Winnipeg got as low as – 34 C early Sunday morning, without the windchill. Sunday's high is only expected to reach – 28 C.
The seasonal high for this time of year is – 13 C.
The warning has been in place all weekend, and isn't expected to lift until Monday.
