A Covehead man who threatened to shoot his wife in March was sentenced to 10 months in jail Tuesday.
But Joel Lawrence Clow will be out in about 30 days because Provincial Court Judge Nancy Orr gave him time-and-a-half for the six months he's already served.
In June, Orr convicted Clow of uttering threats, assault and possession of an unregistered firearm. Clow's wife testified he threatened to shoot her.
He was arrested after a three-hour standoff with police in March. His wife fled the house, and he spent several hours inside ignoring police calls to come out before surrendering.
