A Nova Scotia woman requested supplemental screening after a routine mammogram, because she knew she had dense breasts. She was turned down. Three years later, Tanja Harrison died of stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized. A radiologist in Ontario looks at the issue of using MRIs to detect cancer, how they could protect patients with dense breasts, and reduce costs.
