With this pretty floral wall art DIY, you can add a pop of colour to that boring wall and instantly inject some fun back into your space. The best part? You don't need to be an artist to create this great cross stitch-style piece. In fact, you'll only need a few supplies and a little patience for this easy DIY.
Here's what you need:
- Large rectangular peg board (can be found at most hardware stores)
- Acrylic paints in red, pink, fuschia, green, dark green, or colours of your choice
- Six paint brushes
- Template (download here)
Here's how to do it:
First, download your template HERE. This template will serve as your painting guide and make it easier to achieve the final look.
Gather all of the paint colours that match your template, your brushes, and your peg board.
Follow the pattern on the template by painting row by row. Use your brush to paint an "X" between every four peg holes as shown in your template. Take your time on this step since it's crucial in achieving the final image.
Once you have crossed all your x's on the template, you're done! Such a large piece of art created so quickly and with only a few supplies. Be sure to give it plenty of time to dry before hanging it.
And just like that, you can say goodbye to your boring wall! This works great for a variety of rooms in your home from an office to a bedroom, or even in a living room, as a subtle pop of colour.
