Inspired by the slope and nature of the site it’s built on, this one-of-a-kind space is something to marvel at.

When Sylvain and Nicolas visited the sleepy wooded area by Lac Jasper in Chertsey, Quebec, they knew right away that it would be the perfect place to build their dream home. They had no idea however, that their dream home would feature an interior made entirely from bleachers (yes, just like the kind from your high school gym).

Both architects by trade, the two wanted to create a space that would reach high enough to provide an incredible view of the surrounding land, while capturing the freeing feeling that being surrounded by nature gave them. To do that, Sylvain and Nicolas combined floor-to-ceiling glass walls with an elaborate bleacher system that can be customized and crafted into seating, a work space or even a guest bedroom at the drop of a hat. The result is a structure that's sleek and minimalist on the outside, but much more playful than modern architecture tends to be on the inside — as long as you can handle all those stairs.
