Want to wake up looking well-rested? Beauty sleep is possible and Jessi shared her tips for getting prettier while you snooze! Here are 5 simple tips that anyone can do.

Hydrate lips

Do you want soft, luscious lips for kissing or for selfies? In the cold, dry months, it is so important to keep those lips hydrated. One of the hottest beauty products on the market right now are lip masks. We love the Agave Lip Mask from a Canadian brand called Bite Beauty.

It moisturizes with a blend of organic agave nectar and it actually tastes delicious. It's really sticky, which means it's going to stay on all night and work its magic while you sleep. Hot tip – we recommend using their clear formula because it won't leave marks on your pillowcases.

Dry shampoo

How many people have time to wash their hair every single day? If like many of us, you go to bed knowing you won't have time to wash your hair in the morning, dry shampoo is the answer. Instead of getting up and spraying dry shampoo in a panic at 7am, try spraying your dry shampoo in before you go to sleep. This will give it the entire night to soak up any greasiness and you'll wake up with beautiful looking, and smelling hair!

Hand mask

Do you dream of waking up in the morning looking like a hand model? Before you go to bed, lather up your hands with a really rich, creamy hand salve – the more the better. Then cover them with a pair of moisture locking cotton gloves from any drug store – you can wash them and reuse them.

We love the hand mask from a Canadian line called The Chemistry Brand and it works to improve the brightness, firmness and elasticity of the hands.

Powder your sheets and use a pillow mist

Next, beauty comes from within right? So the deeper you sleep, the fresher you'll look when you wake up. If you aren't the best sleeper, try an overnight pillow spray such as Bath & Body Works Lavender Chamomile Pillow Mist. They sell these at Sephora, Bath & Body Works and a lot of other stores that sell fragrances and beauty products. Look for sprays like lavender and chamomile which have properties that work to sooth, relax and induce sleep.

Here's another quick tip for those hot summer nights or if you're a night sweater – try sprinkling your bed sheets with scented baby powder. They also come in calming lavender scents to keep you relaxed, smooth and chafe free!

Facial massage

Look into a practice called lymphatic facial massage. The theory is that we hold a buildup of fluid in our faces, and massaging your face reduces that fluid and in turn improves circulation. Overall, this is going to remove toxins and keep your cells healthy and can even prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Here's how to do it:

Cleanse your face, wash off the dirt and makeup from your day. Use an overnight oil with anti-aging and brightening benefits, such as Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Oil. Coconut oil works as well. Start at the jawline and use your fingers to rub in an upward motion and then gently massage the top of your jaw, below your ears. We carry a lot of tension here. Then start massaging underneath your cheekbones.

Lastly, use your ring fingers (because they are the weakest and you don't want to press to hard) and massage the top of your nose, just by your eyes. Move your fingers up to the centre of your forehead, massage there, move to the temples, massage, and then back around to the starting position. Repeat this process a couple of times to help reduce puffy eyes and wrinkles.
