The vibe 'up at the cottage' is pretty low key and unbothered, right? The point is to unwind and take in some nature. But you may still need a few beauty fixings, just not your usual heavy duty tools. If you're lucky enough to own a cottage or get invited to one, we've got some suggestions for you. These products are easy to use, many of them multipurpose and small enough to throw into your backpack or weekend bag. Remember that plumbing differs cottage to cottage; please be mindful of the the need for biodegradable products if they'll be washing into the lake through drainage, or if you're bathing in the lake.
As you head out on the day's adventure, grab this back pocket-friendly lip balm for all-day moisture. The formula was recently upgraded to make it fully vegan and it's made with agave and Madagascan vanilla extract. This pill shaped balm makes lips buttery smooth, but it won't get all melty in the sun.

After a day of exploring trails or just lounging by the dock you might want to throw on some lip colour for dinner. But chances are you're not looking for anything too extra, and definitely not a matte or full coverage lipstick. STILA's convertible colour is lightweight, moisturising and adds just the right, sheer pop of colour, with a nice shine. It's non-greasy and also doubles as a blush that has a very natural finish. A quick pat on the cheeks, then on your lips and you're good to go. Plus it's smaller than the palm of your hand.
