There's no arguing the never-ending list of desirable brands from fashion capitals such as Paris, Milan, New York, and London. But, when we took a look at what our own homegrown talent has been up to, we found ourselves with an equally long list of covetable pieces to wear. Here are just a few of the luxurious looks from Canadian brands we're loving right now:

Persephone Dress by Eliza Faulkner

This dress has everything we love in a party frock. A tea-length skirt, a larger than life bow, a vibrant colour and pockets! Did we mention it's also machine washable?

$415, at Eliza Faulkner.

Long Velvet Dress by Horses Atelier

Horses Atelier is a Canadian label known for their natural fabrics, which are sourced from family-owned mills in Italy and Japan. This emerald cap sleeve velvet dress is a no-brainer for an evening out on the town.

$395, at Horses Atelier.

Patched Jacquard Lab Coat by SMYTHE

If you're a fan of seamlessly-tailored coats and nostalgic textiles, look no further than this beautiful patchwork jacquard coat from SMYTHE. The combination of a menswear silhouette and the eclectic pattern make this piece the perfect statement coat for winter. Pair with your favourite denim, let your scarf hang loose, and you're good to go!

$1215, at June Ruby or in stores at Holt Renfrew.

Long Coat with Fur Collar by Sentaler

Once you know the Sentaler signature ribbed detail, you could spot one of their coats from a mile away. This one in particular is hard to miss with its feminine shape and rich (cruelty free) baby alpaca fur collar. It's no wonder Kate Middleton and Sophie Gregoire have been spotted around town in these coats.

$1850, at Sentaler.

The Bella Wrap Necklace by Cuchara

This season we saw the return of the 90s choker and crystal statement jewelry. This rhinestone wrap necklace is a perfect marriage of the two — and a great addition to any little black cocktail dress. Suede ties and clear preciosa crystals add a touch of luxury to an otherwise simple trend.

$176, at Cuchara.

Choupette Kitten Ring and Pearl Ring by Foe & Dear

How could you not love a ring named after Karl Lagerfeld's cat? These stackable rings are a perfect 'one for you, three for me' kind of gift (wink wink). Stack them together or wear simply on it's own. Not a cat lover? We also adore Foe and Dear's pearl rings. Made with creamy fresh water pearls and set in a handmade four-prong claw setting on a 14k gold fill band, these little pieces are simple yet classic.

$30 and $80, at Foe & Dear

Soda Can Sweater by Andrew Coimbra

Classic sweatshirts made a major comeback this year — and not just at the gym. This casual trend has been spotted and styled with an array of different day and night options, including pleated skirts and skinny trousers. So, we were excited to see a Canadian addition with this embroidered graphic pop can sweater.

$150, at Andrew Coimbra.

Pink Metallic Soroya Pump by Zvelle

When it comes to shoes, finding style and comfort in the same pair is a difficult task. Zvelle is a Canadian shoe company that prides themselves on creating sensible AND stylish footwear. These metallic heart pumps are the kind of shoe that can make an entrance — and a comfortable one at that.

$315, at Zvelle.
