February's beauty hit list will fight your winter skin woes

This beauty bounty is flush with great new finds to tackle our winter skin blahs.

It's the dead of winter, gloomy outside, dry inside. Thankfully, this month our beauty bounty is flush with great new finds to tackle our winter skin blahs. So brighten up your February with these six products that have just hit the shelves.

Vibrant visage

I generally stay pretty simple with my skincare routine (I love a good multi-product!), but this winter I've started looking to new items to give my tired skin a little boost. Enter the Yehwadem toner from The Face Shop. Packed with Korean ginseng, safflower and goji berry, my skin looks a little brighter and definitely feels more moisturized. Consider this step added to my nightly beauty ritual.

Magic dust

I was never that attracted to crazy-contoured looks inspired by the Kardashian klan, so when this baking powder crossed my desk, I was a bit skeptical. But when applied over my CC cream and concealer (as a new mom, that's all the makeup I have time for these days), the effect was quite lovely. With a suede matte finish, it keeps my skin looking like real skin, while ensuring that my makeup stayed put.

Rodial Baking Powder, $39, Murale stores.

Cuticle cure

Winter is wreaking havoc on my hands, especially my cuticles. Thank goodness for Londontown's Kur Nourishing Cuticle Oil. New to the market in Canada, this lovely scented product is sitting on my nightstand so that I can apply its floral- and vitamin-enriched formula before I fall asleep.

Eau natural

Eco-friendly beauty brand, Bite Beauty—which is based in Toronto to boot—just released a series of super creamy, long-lasting lip liners. Three years in the making (in order to pass the high standards set by the company), each of the 22 shades is meant to mimic someone's natural lip hue. Apply on its own for a defined, no-makeup look or add lipstick on top for added oomph.

Bite Beauty The Lip Pencil, $18, Sephora.com.

Home sweet home

For a limited time head to any Saje location, or their online store, to grab this marble atomizer. Sleek and modern, it's a show-stopping aromatic diffuser that not only will leave your abode with a pleasing scent, but will help keep moisture in the air, all while looking really, really good wherever you place it.
